3. Complete KYC with a PAN card and a selfie, and pay the first month's rent and a refundable deposit equal to one month's rent per item.

The 3BHK arithmetic: renting against buying

Three beds cost about ₹54,000 new, three wardrobes about ₹45,000, a fabric three-seater sofa ₹22,999 or more, a coffee table ₹8,000 or more and a six-seater dining set ₹25,000 or more. That is about ₹1.55 lakh before a single appliance. Rent on the same furniture is about ₹6,061 a month, and cumulative rent passes the purchase price in month 26. Rentomojo's average subscription lasted 18.04 months in FY26, per its prospectus. A rented 3BHK keeps ₹1.55 lakh of household capital free while the family's stay in Delhi is still open-ended.

A family home that moves with the posting

A 3BHK on rent turns a ₹1.55 lakh furnishing bill into a monthly line of about ₹6,000 that can be adjusted room by room. For families relocating to Delhi on corporate transfers or fixed-term postings, the furniture, appliances and their maintenance sit with one provider, and the whole home can be relocated or returned when the posting ends.
